2010 Men’s Amateur Tournament

Tournament Format and Policy: The tournament will consist of an 18 hole qualifying round. The 95 lowest scores and the 2009 Championwill establish the field. The 31 lowest scores and the 2009 Champion will compete in the Championship Flight, the next 32 lowest scores will compete in the First Flight, and the final 32 lowest scores will compete in the Second Flight. A sudden death play-off will be conducted only for the Championship Flight. A scorecard play-off will be used for the First and Second Flight, starting at the eighteen hole going backwards. You must be present at the time of the play-off is called in order to compete for a spot in the Championship Flight. Match play will commence on the second day of play and continue through the third day of play. The format of play for the final eight players in each Flight will be Stroke Play. The Championship Flight will play 36 holes; the First and Second Flight will play 18 holes. The seeding for Match Play will be determined by A.) Score B.) Tee Time. For contestants with the same score, the earlier tee time will receive a higher seed. The 2009 Champion will be the number one seed in the Championship Flight. All ties in the First and Second flight will be a scorecard play-off starting at the eighteen hole going backwards.

Tee Times will be established by the following: Each contestant will mark his entry with his preference of Tee Time. Tee Times will be given out by the date the entry is received. The NKGA reserves the right to accept or reject any application
